Makes Dual-Sight Strategy Functional
I always liked the idea of having two optics: a magnified one up top and a reflex for quick shots. This 45° offset mount makes that strategy not just possible, but practical. The mount fits securely to a Picatinny rail and doesn’t feel like a flimsy add-on. I’ve used it on a rifle and also a tactical shotgun with similar success. Easy to install, easy to switch optics, and excellent repeatability.

Rugged Enough for Field Use
I’ve put this through some tough conditions — dusty ranges, rainy days, and even some muddy training — and it’s performed without complaint. Once torqued down with the proper tools the mount stays put, and the angle makes it easy to grab a quick dot without disturbing my primary sighting setup. Over multiple months the integrity hasn’t changed, and it still feels solid every time I check it.

Surprise Upgrade for the Money
I didn’t expect much out of a low-priced mount, but this ended up being a real upgrade in my setup. I run the main optic for medium distances and a small Burris Fastfire on the HM8 for close threats or transitions — and it’s smooth every time I switch. No rattles, no alignment drift. It’s also small enough that it doesn’t snag on gear or clothing unexpectedly, which is a nice bonus.

Practical for Close-Range and Tactical Work
This offset mount has become a staple on my tactical-oriented rifle. Having the red dot at 45° makes transitions natural when I want a reflex option with minimal shift in head position. The mount is lightweight but rigid — I haven’t experienced any play between sessions. I also appreciate that it accommodates all the common dot footprints, so I didn’t have to worry about compatibility when upgrading sights later.

Easy to Adjust and Very Versatile
I purchased this mainly because I wanted something I could adapt between guns — and that versatility has been huge. I’ve moved my dot from my shotgun to my AR back and forth with no hassles. The receipt side attaches flush to a Picatinny rail and gives me a predictable point of aim that’s repeatable each time. It’s also ambidextrous — you can mount on either side. Being able to swap optics and platforms with one mount has saved me a lot of money and time.

Excellent Add-On for Carbine and Shotgun Platforms
Over the years I’ve tried a number of offset mounts and this one stands out for simplicity and quality. Mounted on my AR upper handguard with a Shield dot, it’s been dependable — no micro shifts, and I trust the alignment even after long range sessions and range bag transport. It’s not a laser-shiny CNC piece, but it’s functionally really solid. If you want an inexpensive way to add side-mounted optics for close-to-medium work, this is worth the investment.

Improves Sight Options Without Crowding Rails
I like adding practicality to my gear without making anything bulky or awkward. This mount lets me put a small red dot at a 45° angle below a bigger optic so I don’t crowd the top rail. Setup was easy: I chose the side that makes the most sense for my grip and position, tightened everything securely, and it’s stayed that way. Now I have a reliable option when I need to engage quick targets without having to rely on magnification.

Great Accessory for Dual-Sight Builds
This 45° mount is perfect if you want to leverage two optics without spending on expensive flip-to-side mount systems. I used a Shield RMSc footprint dot on mine, and the plate adapts well to various footprints — that’s a huge plus. Once mounted on the side of my rail it never came loose, and the repeatability has been outstanding even after hot range days and lots of handling. The build quality isn’t flashy, but that’s fine — it feels functional and solid.

Solid Build, Simple but Very Effective
I’ve run this mount on a couple different platforms — an AR and a newer 12-gauge — and it’s been rock solid both times. I use it mostly with a small ADE RD3-006 dot and the alignment has held perfectly. I’ve put a few hundred rounds through with no loosening, and (critically) no wobble under recoil. The angle is intuitive once you get used to it, and it makes quick shots fast without having to shift eyes between optics. A very practical addition to a rifle or shotgun that already has a main optic.

Bought It for Left-Handed Use and It Delivered
I’m a left-handed shooter, and finding accessories that make sense ergonomically isn’t always easy. The HM8 lets me mount a dot on the left side of my rifle so I have a quick, low-profile sight option without interfering with the top optic. The aircraft-aluminum build feels tough and lightweight, and the 45° offset works great for fast target acquisition at closer distances when it’s inappropriate to switch to the magnified sight. I love how this mount opens up alternate sighting strategies without cluttering the rail.

Perfect for Shotgun Home Defense Setup
I run a defensive shotgun as part of my home setup and wanted a quick-target option without replacing my primary optic. This 45° redirect mount was ideal: it lets me mount a small red dot (I used a Burris Fastfire) on the side instead of stacking scopes or hunting for weird angles. Installation was straightforward and it clamps solidly — no wiggle even after repeated recoil from heavy loads. The angle means I can instinctively bring up my shotgun and grab the red dot inside a tight space without shifting my cheek weld or dropping the stock. Highly recommend for a shotgun with a healthy length of rail.

Extends My AR’s Versatility Like Nothing Else
I installed this ADE HM8 mount on the forward Picatinny rail of my AR-15 so I could run a compact red dot at a 45° angle beside my magnified optic. I’ve been shooting for years and this thing has completely changed how I approach transitional shooting — from close quarters to mid-range it just works. The mount itself is lighter than I expected for what it does (around 1.1 oz), but it feels rock solid once the screws are torqued down. I mounted a Vortex Venom on it and lined it up so that it co-witnesses with my rifle’s iron sights. Whether I’m doing fast tactical drills or just bouncing between steel plates at varied distances, picking up the offset dot feels natural and intuitive.

Offset mount
Great communication and customer service. Shipped quickly and was very pleased. The one down side and I think an great piece of information to have is, that it sits alot lower than expected. It is functional however a riser of some kind is probably necessary. Not sure if this is available, but definitely something to note.
