Works well, but height may not suit everyone
Overall this mount performs well and feels solid, but the elevated position of the red dot may not be ideal for everyone depending on shooting style and preference, and while it works great once you get used to it, it’s something to consider before buying, especially if you’re used to lower-mounted optics.
-
Good performance for the price
For the price, I wasn’t expecting such solid performance, but after installing and using it over several sessions, it has held up well with no issues, and considering how much functionality it adds to a rifle setup, it feels like a very good value.
-
Versatile for different optics and setups
What I like about this mount is that it’s not limited to a single type of setup, because it works with different scope sizes and compatible red dots, which makes it easy to reuse if I change my optic later, and that flexibility makes it feel like a good long-term investment.
-
Good alternative to offset mounts
I was deciding between an offset mount and a piggyback setup, and I ended up going with this because it keeps everything centered and feels more natural for my shooting style, and while both options have their advantages, this setup works really well for me and keeps things simple.
-
Strong clamp and stable mounting platform
The clamping system on this mount feels solid and well-designed, and after tightening it properly, it stayed locked in place without any movement, even after repeated use, which is important because any shift would affect zero, and so far it has been very stable and dependable.
-
Compact design without adding too much bulk
I was worried that adding a piggyback mount would make my setup feel bulky, but this one is relatively compact and doesn’t interfere with handling as much as I expected, and once installed, it blends in well with the overall setup while still providing the functionality I needed.
-
Slight learning curve but worth it
At first, the higher mounting position of the red dot felt a bit unusual and took some getting used to, especially when transitioning quickly between optics, but after a few range sessions, it became more natural, and once you adapt to it, the setup works really well for its intended purpose.
-
Great for close-range transitions
Using this mount has made a noticeable difference in how quickly I can switch from long-range magnified shooting to close-range targets, because instead of adjusting magnification, I just tilt slightly and use the red dot, and that kind of speed improvement is exactly what I was looking for when setting up my rifle.
-
Easy install on 30mm scope tube
The installation process was much easier than I expected, especially since it clamps directly onto a 30mm scope tube and even includes inserts for 1-inch tubes, which makes it versatile for different setups, and once tightened down, it feels secure without damaging the scope, which was something I was concerned about initially
-
Works great with Doctor footprint optics
I paired this mount with a Doctor footprint red dot and it fit perfectly without any modification, which made the installation process very straightforward, and once everything was mounted, the alignment felt correct and stable, making it a very convenient option if you’re already running compatible optics like Vortex Venom or Burris Fastfire styles
-
Solid piggyback solution that actually holds zero
I was a bit skeptical about mounting a red dot on top of a scope instead of directly on the rifle, but after properly installing this mount and tightening everything down, it held zero very well even after repeated shooting, and once you get used to the slightly higher sight position, it becomes a very natural and efficient setup for close-range engagement.
-
Perfect addition to my LPVO setup
I added the HM9 mount on top of my LPVO because I wanted a faster option for close-range targets, and after installing it, I immediately noticed how much smoother transitions became between magnified and non-magnified aiming, and the mount itself feels very solid on the scope tube with no shifting after multiple range sessions, which gave me confidence that it’s not just a temporary setup but something I can rely on long term.

Junk product terrible customer service
Call me a liar your the liar if you actually took one apart you would know the threads were in the top half of the ring and not in the base shame on you.
-
Defective
The top ring arrived with stripped threads. Despite my efforts to resolve this they sent the wrong part, the support team was unhelpful and dismissive. They ignored the videos and photos I sent as proof, essentially calling me a liar when I challenged their assessment. Since then, they have completely ignored my communications.
