This ADE Trumpet is also available in Green Multi-Reticle(RD3-029 PRO/GREEN) and Blue Dot(RD3-029 BLUE) Model.

The ADE Trumpet PRO (RD3-029 ) features a 4 MOA red dot, built to seamlessly fit any pistol mounting plate, slide, or cut compatible with popular red dot footprints, including RMR/SRO and Holosun 407C/507C/508T.

The ADE Trumpet (RD3-029 BLUE) is a cutting-edge 2025 innovation, introducing the industry's first blue dot reflex sight, specifically designed for individuals with astigmatism who find traditional red or green dots challenging to use.

Equipped with a Motion Activated System, the Trumpet automatically enters sleep mode after five minutes of inactivity, conserving battery life. Upon detecting any motion or vibration, the red dot illumination instantly reactivates at the previous brightness level. Users can also manually disable this feature by turning off the red dot power.

The Trumpet PRO boasts a side-loading battery tray, eliminating the need to remove the sight for battery changes. With a battery life of up to 20,000 hours, the sight offers 7 brightness settings, including one designed specifically for use with night vision. It operates with a single CR1632 battery.

This sight is parallax-free and offers unlimited eye relief for enhanced accuracy and ease of use. Crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum with an anodized black finish and a multi-coated lens, the Trumpet ensures durability and excellent visual performance.

Included in the package:

  • Tool
  • User manual
  • Lens cloth
  • Red dot cover
  • CR1632 battery
  • Mounting screws

Note: Optic plate for specific firearm models is not included.

    Great budget option

Posted by Ryan R. on 3rd Apr 2025

I love budget optics that are packed with features you pay three times for from well known brands. Things like shake awake and a battery located somewhere you don't have to remove the optic to replace. These ADE branded dot sights will perform just as good for the every day recreational enthusiast and range goer. Easy install, I used the included screws to attach to my slide. The reticle is clear and easy to see quickly through clear glass. The body itself is not overly large or wide and fits the slide pretty well. Includes a rubber cover, which I'll never use, but it's there if you like them. I have many of these ADE sights along with a lot of options in that same budget range and these are becoming a quick favorite.

    Motion-Activated Red Dot Sight

Posted by Wilderness Family on 3rd Apr 2025

This is a well made, nicely engineered red-dot sight for your firearm. One of my pet peeves are sights that eat the batteries so that just when you need it, you’ve got no power to light it up. I like that this sight powers down after 5 minutes when not in use. Just move it again and it wakes up. The sight itself is impressive for the price: precisely machined aircraft-grade aluminum with multi-coated lenses. A few more pluses: you don’t have to remove the sight in order to replace the battery. There’s a little tray that slides out. There’s a setting for night vision. And this is waterproof. Also, once you set this (and make sure it is tightened down), it holds zero.

    Very Good for the price

First off, I was really impressed that the Motion Activated System actually worked as described, and was repeatable, unlike another similar device I have, for which I paid a LOT more. This is solidly made, easy to use, mounts snuggly and has a minimal profile. So far it has held zero very nicely and remains solidly attached after 100 rounds. The side-loading battery compartment is an interesting variation; I haven't decided whether or not I like it, because the screw needs a proprietary bit--which sucks if you loose it. Otherwise, I am very pleased with it.

    Good Optic

Posted by Jesse Anderson on 3rd Apr 2025

So far I really like this optic, It took a while to find just the right hardware to get it mounted on my slide as the hardware it came with was too long and would bottom out before it got tight. I had to go with a 6x32 x 7/16" to get enough threads to make it hold while allowing it to get tight. It comes with 1/2" mounting screws. The optic itself is great so far. I wish there were detents on the adjustment screws, but they're easy to use and there is enough travel to make it work with just about any set up. This optic mounts low enough that I can still use regular height tritium sites and see both the front and the back without issue. It seemed like it wouldn't turn on at first but that was only because the optic was set on one of the night vision settings and it was too dim to see in daylight. Turned all the way up, it's easy to find the dot even on bright sunny days. Everything seems solid so far, but we'll see how well it holds up after a few hundred rounds. My biggest grips is with the branding. Does it really need to say "TRUMPET" in big bold letters across the top? It's an odd name for the device and it's super conspicuous. I think I'll have to take some kind of solvent to it to tone that down a bit. It makes the whole thing feel a lot cheaper.

    VERY Impressed!

Posted by SuperTed on 3rd Apr 2025

I'm a BIG red dot fan for my pistols and I typically use Swampfox optics or Holosun. Red dots have worked wonders for those of us whose eyesight is getting poorer as they age. So when I had the chance to get one of these red dots - the Trumpet (model RD3-029) from ADE Advanced Optics - I gladly accepted. The presentation was excellent - it came in a fancy box and was packaged very well. As good as the ones I get from Swampfox and Holosun. Inside you get the optic, optic cover, screw for windage/elevation adjustments, allen wrenches, screws, lens cloth and a 1632CR battery to power it. It does NOT come with an optics plate so you'll need to provide your own. It has a 4 MOA dot with 7 brightness settings, with the lowest setting only visible by night vision. You can turn it on or off by holding the up or down arrow for 3 seconds. It also has shake'n'wake technology and auto/on off - TWO features that are non-negotiable with me. If a sight does not have at least those two features, I won't even look at it as, IMO, modern optics have no excuse to NOT include those. It's also got a side-loaded battery which is also of importance to me. Who wants to have to constantly remove the optic to replace the battery? The sight itself has a very nice, solid and premium feel to it as well as looking good on my firearm (see pics). Please note that this is an RMR footprint red dot, so if your firearm slide isn't cut for that then you'll need a separate optic plate. It's supposedly made out of aircraft aluminum but I couldn't find where it said that anywhere except on Amazon's product page. I'm certain it is as it certainly feels like it does. So does it work? You bet it does. I zeroed it in at home with a laser bore sight at 30 feet and then took it to the range where I put 184 rounds thru my firearm. I stopped after every couple mags (23 rounds each) to check to see if the zero had moved and, to my surprise, it had not! It stayed right on the money the entire time. Despite what cool features it may have, if a dot sight can't stay at zero it's worthless and this one proved it's worth for at least 184 rounds. For now, it's a keeper! As far as longevity and durability is concerned, I can't speak to that right now since I haven't had it for very long but I see no reason why it wouldn't last if you take the necessary care and concern (i.e. don't drop it). If anything changes in the future I will certainly update my review. One thing to note is that I did not use the screws that came with the sight as I already had screws holding down my Swampfox red dot and just used those. These screws should work but I can't confirm that they actually fit my S&W. I know in the past I've run into different firearms requiring different screws other than the ones they came with so just keep in mind that you may or may not have to supply your own screws. So, this sight is a keeper for me. While it won't immediately replace my Swampfox as I also love those sights too, it will find it's way on another firearm of mine in the future. Well done, ADE!

All is good, two years and the battery still holds.

Posted by philip peterson on 3rd Apr 2025

After almost 2 years of use I can attest to that everything is fine with this red dot. No issues. Holds zero like a champ. I sent about 350 rounds through my PSA Dragged with this optics on it, both suppressed and not, and all is good. The battery still holds

    Impressive

This little optic packs a punch for the money. It’s small but mighty, and I’m very pleased. Dot shows up great, window is clear and as far as I can tell the shake awake works as well. Would definitely recommend

Great optic at a great price. Built my budget carry glock with it and the fit and finish is great. Had an issue with the first one cause the screw for the up and down was boogered. Reached out and they had a new one in the mail within 24 hours. couldnt ask for better customer service. Will be buying more from yall in the future!

was looking for a lower cost pistol red dot and having had good look with several other items from ADE thought I would try the TRUMPET, purchased two now and both work well ...have been a little awkward to zero but once done seems to be fine be sure to locktight the screws watch your L_R UP- DOWN direction and every thing should be good several hundred rounds now will report back in the future.....so Great for the price have to see if it holds up.
