Product Description:
This optic shim is designed to be installed between your red dot sight and its mounting plate. With a precise 1.0-degree taper and +/- 0.005 tolerance, this shim provides critical elevation compensation when zeroing optics—especially on platforms like the 1911 that may have limited elevation adjustment. Why You Need It:
On certain pistols, users may find that the red dot’s elevation screw maxes out before the dot can be lowered enough to zero the optic. Rather than returning the optic as defective, this shim can raise the rear of the sight, effectively lowering the dot in the window and allowing proper zeroing.
Installation Tips:
-
To lower the dot (most common use): Position the thicker side at the rear (toward the shooter).
-
To raise the dot: Position the thicker side at the front (toward the muzzle).
If you encounter resistance when adjusting elevation, the shim may be required.

Works
I had to file the holes and trim the length but definitely help me out. I actually used it in the reverse position.

Adds Height for the Holosun 407K and others
Needed a shim to properly mount a Holosun 407K X2 on a FN502. The FN502 needs a shim to be able to tighten the screws so that the red dot won't come lose. Worked well. The shim is thicker on one end and thinner on the other end so pay attention to how it is oriented. The footprint for the Holosun 407K is the same for the 507K and their EPS models. I don't know all the models of red dots that fit that footprint.

Perfect
Works great on my 407k

Shim
Horrible fit. Lists that it fit 507k. It does but you must trim a lot to make it look acceptable. Will look elsewhere when I need another one.
