Adjustment Process Could Be Easier
The only drawback I’ve run into is that adjusting the dot can require loosening screws first, which makes the process a bit slower than some other optics. Once set, it works fine, but I wish the adjustment system were more streamlined.
-
Clean Design Without Extra Features I Don’t Need
I actually like that it doesn’t try to do too much. It’s a simple 1× reflex optic with unlimited eye relief and a clear aiming point. That simplicity makes it fast and intuitive to use.
-
Holds Zero Reliably Over Time
Reports of the optic maintaining zero over extended firing are what convinced me to try it, and mine has behaved the same way—consistent point of impact even after repeated range sessions. For a compact reflex sight, that reliability matters more than anything.
-
Simple Controls and No Learning Curve
The controls are straightforward, with brightness adjustments handled via simple button inputs. Some reviewers highlight how easy it is to turn on and adjust illumination quickly, and that ease of use is one of its biggest strengths.
-
Compact Size Works Well for Everyday Carry Setups
Because of its small footprint and open-emitter layout, it doesn’t feel bulky or snag-prone. The short body design even allows it to sit neatly into custom slide cuts, which keeps the profile clean. It’s a great choice if you want something unobtrusive.
-
Battery Life Is Better Than I Expected
Running on a CR2032 with roughly 800 hours of life means I’m not constantly worrying about replacing batteries. Combined with the sleep mode, it’s been very low-maintenance.
-
Great Value for the Performance You Get
From a price-to-performance standpoint, this optic really surprised me. Some user feedback notes it performs well even after extended firing, and that lines up with my experience—it’s dependable and straightforward without unnecessary gimmicks.
-
Solid Build With No Issues Under Recoil
The aluminum construction gives it a reassuringly solid feel while still keeping weight down. After running several hundred rounds, nothing loosened and adjustments stayed locked in place, which is exactly what I want from a compact reflex sight.
-
Bright Green Dot Is Easy to See in Different Lighting
The 4 MOA green dot stands out clearly in various lighting conditions and is easy to acquire quickly. I’ve used red dots for years, but the green illumination feels easier on my eyes outdoors, especially during long sessions.
-
Motion Activation Makes It Feel Modern
One feature I really appreciate is the motion-activated system. The optic goes to sleep after sitting still and wakes instantly when moved, which keeps it ready without constantly draining the battery. That’s the kind of feature that makes daily use much more practical.
-
Perfect Fit for My Optics-Ready Slide
This optic dropped straight into my RMR-pattern cut with no surprises, exactly as advertised for slides designed around that footprint. Mounting took minutes, and once aligned, the sight picture felt natural and uncluttered. The compact body sits low enough to give a very clean presentation.
-
Lightweight Enough to Forget It’s There
I installed the Valkyrie Gen 2 on an RMR-cut slide and immediately noticed how incredibly light it felt compared to other optics I’ve used. At just over an ounce and under two inches long, it doesn’t change the balance of the pistol at all, which makes it feel like part of the gun instead of an add-on. After several range trips, I’ve been impressed by how well it holds zero and how quickly the green dot picks up in bright daylight.

Every bit as good as sights I see for $250 up to $600..one con is having to take the sight off to change battery...#8x40 instead of 6x48 mounting screws would be more trustworthy... screws would be better ...
