This combo listing includes an ADE Ares RD3-028 red dot sight, a mounting plate specifically designed for SAR USA ST9 Pistols, and a standard picatinny mount. Please note, the plate does NOT fit any other SAR models such as Sar 9, CM9, K2 ect.
ADE RD3-028 Ares Pro is equipped with the Motion Activated System. While the Ares Pro is turned on, the red dot illumination goes to sleep after five minutes of inactivity, but when any motion or vibration is detected, it instantly switches on illumination at the previous brightness setting. Users also have the option to manually turn the red dot power off to disable the Motion Activated System.
The overall length is longer than traditional red dot, therefore it only fits on the optic plate that sits ABOVE the slide( typically the plates replacing the rear sight). It does not sit into pistol slide with a milled optic cut because those cuts are typically made for red dots with standard length. The dimension for Ares is 1.84" length x1.30" width x1.15" height
ADE RD3-028 Ares Pro is designed with a removeable Weather Shield that protects the sight from moisture and provides a clearer sight picture during inclement weather. Once installed the weather shield will protect from rain or snow and will stay attached even when mounted on a handgun.

Although it's feasible to install the optic on a handgun without the assistance of a gunsmith, we highly recommend seeking the expertise of a professional for the installation process. It's essential to note that unprofessional installations, such as improper torque application, can lead to issues like loose screws, an inability to hold zero, damage to the firearm or optic, and even pose a risk of personal injury.
If you're not seeing a perfect round dot but instead observe a splashed dot, half-moon shape, multi-dot, or starburst, there's a high probability (99%) that you might have astigmatism without being aware of it. What you perceive is likely a small reflection of the LED light on the lens. A quick and simple way to confirm this is by using your cellphone to take a photo of the dot. If the photo shows a circular dot, you've essentially diagnosed yourself with astigmatism.
